Michael McDermott
Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and
Product Management

Michael McDermott oversees RTP’s Sales, Marketing and Product Management groups and has overall responsibility for RTP’s product strategy and sales growth.  Michael brings over fifteen years of sales, marketing, and management experience in the enterprise business software and services industry to RTP. 

Prior to joining RTP, McDermott served as Director of Sales at Maxwell Systems, Inc. and Cheetah Advanced Technologies, Inc. which were leading vertical enterprise software companies. In these positions, McDermott had been responsible for increasing sales at 12 and 20 percent respectively. McDermott also held various sales and marketing positions at PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards.  In addition, he worked in advertising and public relations agencies, where he developed and executed marketing programs for new product launches, branding, advertising and public relations programs for Fortune 1000 companies. 

McDermott has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Colorado State University. 

McDermott resides in Denver, CO with his wife and 3 year old daughter where they enjoy all the recreation activities associated with living in Colorado.
