Sr. Business Analyst
POSITION DESCRIPTION
RTP is looking for a full-time Sr. Business Analyst to report to the Manager of Product Management and Tech Documentation. This position will have responsibility for defining and working with developers to design and manage development of new software functionality. You will function as a project leader, working collaboratively with software development, sales and marketing, professional services and support to resolve issues; and perform analysis of complex business and technical issues and provide recommendations for possible solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather and define business requirements and software features and functionality for the RTP|ONE product platform.
- Gather data detailing customer processes. Identify segments of the customer's process that are absent or that are poorly addressed in our products, or that provide an opportunity for competitive advantage.
- Define and prioritize product requirements based on market analyses, customer input, as well input from different parts of the organization.
- Define and manage a detailed product roadmap and development plan for several software modules ensuring that those systems meet and exceed metrics including cost, scalability expectations, business functionality and development timelines.
- Work across the development, marketing, support and professional services organizations at RTP as well as externally with industry experts, focus groups, and current and future customers to define software requirements and work with developers to define solutions and functional specifications.
- Manage discreet software development efforts from conception to software release with responsibility for scope, effort and schedule.
- Conduct system and user acceptance testing to ensure functionality meets business requirements.
- Report status weekly and keep all teams informed of activities as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Knowledge of the resort/hospitality industry strongly desired.
- Knowledge of some aspects of resort operations standards and procedures desired.
- Experience developing requirements and specifications for enterprise software functionality.
- Strong requirements documentation, facilitation and consensus building skills working with a diverse set of stakeholders desired.
- Experience researching best practices using industry research, focus groups and current and future customer input.
- Strong project and problem solving skills, with ability to manage multiple projects.
- Thorough knowledge of .NET framework, relational databases (SQL skills desired), and n-tier architecture concepts.
- Strong experience with systems analysis and functional design.
- Knowledge of and proven experience working through the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well to both technical development staff as well as non-technical end users and other RTP organizations.
- Experience owning and guiding the capabilities of a software product.
- Experience managing software development projects from conception to software release.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of shipping successful software products.
- 5+ years experience as a business systems analyst, program manager or product manager.
- B.A/B.S. or equivalent.

Travel is not required.
